Which code? Or both of them?

Did you check the CKP sensor wiring? Did you check for a high voltage wire running close to and in parallel with the CKP sensor wiring? It is possible the CKP reluctor wheel is loose, or hitting the timing cover?

The PCM needs a consistant pulse signal from the Opti in order to evaluate the cam position sensor signal. Sometimes a faulty pulse signal from the Opti can cause the CKP codes to set.

just had the opti replaced yesterday and had the cps changed at the same time. went with a whole complete gm opti through chevy because i wasnt going to risk getting crap as this is a daily driver...

the wires on the cps werw bare so we taped them up, making sure none touched each other... it was right where they met the connector on the cps. where can i order a new connector with maybe a foot of the wires hanging off it? a junk yard is out of the question because there isnt one for 100 miles around brady texas.

Are you still wanting to replace the pigtail?

You need to respond to questions and suggestions. Which code(s)?

Did you check for high voltage interference? Are you sure the reluctor wheel is not hitting the timing cover. Did you replace the pigtail?

Do you ever see the codes for the Opti high and/or low resolution pulse?
