Couple of questions about dropping your motor

First off, exactly how do you do it? Is it as simple as disconneting all of the wiring and hoses and unbolting it from the motor mounts? Also is there any way possible to drop it with the exhaust manifolds still on it? I have hooker LT's if that makes a difference.
