a couple more lt1 ?s

Ok Here is my questions.

1. Does the 1993 LT1 use a regular old style smallblock oil pump?
2. What timing chain would you guys reccomend for a mild LT1 and what are some of the prices?
3. When i run impala head gaskets can i get away with 93 octane and a madZ28 performance tune?

thanks in advance!-Joe

Re: a couple more lt1 ?s

1. The 1993 LT1 has the same oil pump as the rest of the LT1s but im not sure if they are standard SBC or not.
2. If you put in an elitric water pump and notch the timing cover, a cloyes double roller timing kit is the bes from what i've heard and only like $70.
3. Yes you can get away with impala gaskets. I believe the Felpro are even thinner if you wanted to go that way.
