Could I achieve 400rwhp with this setup?

I am looking to put a bigger cam, RR's, and some bolt ons on the LT1.

I dont want to spend the money right now to get the heads done. I dont want the car too crazy right now...Still need to get a daily driver for the winter.

It put down 272/310 with just SLP Loudmouth Exhaust.

I am going to put in:

1. CC306 or GM847 cam (i think, so far)
2. 1.6 RR's
3. 30lb/hr injectors
4. Mail Order Tune
5. Good Plugs
6. MSD Wires

I already have
MAC Mid-length headers
MAC Y-pipe
No Cats
SLP Loudmouth
K&N Cold Air Intake
MSD Coil pack
Descreened MAF
TB Bypass

i think thats it..

I dont want to touch the flow of the heads at all really..but I DO want 400rwhp...Is that possible??

I am leaning towards like 380-390......anyone have any faith in 400 to the ground?

Acheaving 400HP is going to be tough. I think ur going to need Long Tubes, 58MM tb, Port and polish ur Mass air or get a bigger one like the granitelli 82mm i have, and maybe prot the heads.

A friend of mine had the LE1 heads and LE2 cam with the 58mm tb, p&p mass air, Underdrives, Longtubes, 160 stat, and he did a custom tune and only pushed like 390 if i remember correcly.

Nope, you need ported heads. That setup with a 306 will get you in the 345-355 range.

Again what he said. Call and speak to Lloyd. He will spend plenty of time with you and help you find a combo that fits the needs. Go LE2 package and you are nearly guaranteed 400RWHP with LT headers.

Porting the heads will not hurt its drivability...thats going to mostly be in the cam grind, but the grind needs to take advantage of the head work too.
You don't indicate if its a M6 or A4...if an auto then the convertor is going to make all the difference in drivability as well, so you need to pick a cam with good low end torque so you don't have to get a huge stall convertor. Mine daily driven and with the LPE211 cam the stock convertor works well and drivability is great. Its not a strip car so I don't care for 1/4 times, otherwise a convertor would help out in that area but sacrifice drivability and mpg.

in his sig it says its an m6. If he goes with the link i posted Lloyd also offers package deals with custom grind cams that work extremely well with his heads.

I only hear great things about LE. So I think ill give him a buzz tomorrow and see what he has to offer me and hopefully a good deal.

I was reading up on his LE1 Budget Heads...they flow almost just as good as the regular LE1 heads and they are like 150 or so cheaper...that might be good for me...since my pocket is shallow these days. lol whose isint?

Ah, I see that now on his 2nd post in this thread, but the orginal post up top didn't have a sig...thats strange never seen that before. I've got 2 sets of LE heads, LE2 and a brand new pair of LE1s with a few extra things done sitting on the bench to be used on the next project Lloyd is a great person to deal with and he's local for me.

Your not going to need great heads but just something decent, flowing around 260 @ .600. Find something used for 500-700 and throw them on. The FS section is full of great deals.

Than you will have your 400rwhp. The cam alone is good for 350rwhp. The heads will net you the last 50.

LE1 heads and the 232/240 cam would put you around 400 RWHP with good tuning. I would ratherr see some 1 3/4 LT's over the mids but the goal can still be achieved with everything else done right.
