Could this have just been a wet opti?

Two days ago it rained here all day long and I had to drive around in it. The car ran fine all day. The next day I was having a high rpm miss (~4800+).

Today the car was still missing. So this afternoon i disconnected the battery and checked all the plug wires, coil wire and made sure they were all on securely, not scorched, etc.

I couldn't see anything wrong so I hooked everything back up and took her for a drive and made a couple WOT runs and the miss was totally gone.

I'm sorta new to LT1s, and I was just wondering, is this was common for optis to do when they get wet? Could it have been something else?

I would just go to Autozone and get a can of STP Wire Dryer and spray the opti, It'll help keep moisture out.
