Could extreme heat on wires from a header cause electrical issues?
The bunch of wires that go up the passenger side of the engine bay(do they goto the pcm?) were touching my header and burned through the plastic casing, but didn't actually burn through any of the wires(although here was some white soot on them). Is it possible this could have caused these DTC codes???
36 Distributor ignition system (faulty high resolution pulse or extra low resolution pulse detected)
42 Ignition Control (IC) circuit (shorted or grounded circuit)
I just installed a brand new opti, coil, wires, icm, and i'm still having the same trouble as before.
Thanks

I would replace them right now weather they are the cause of the codes or not. Be sure it fix what burned them so it doesn't happen again since i would guess this will be a pain in the butt thing to do. I would love to see someone here put the instructions on here if they can.
