Could this cause a slow start up?
Why did you want to plumb the fuel pressure gauge into the fuel line after the filter? Why not just hook it up to the Schrader valve? The FPR is in the return line, so measuring the pressure right after the filter is no different than measuring it at the Schrader valve.
I have been driving the car today and the problem remains. Start the car 10 minutes after parking it with the engine hot, and it is still hard to start even though it shows 40# on the FP gage. It seems like as soon as you turn the key forward it will let off a small pop and struggle to run and then about 6 seconds later finally run right. WTF.
Again if I turn the key off/on three times to restart, fires a bit better. I am at a loss here. Just does not make sense and I dont see how it can be ignition related.
I am starting to think it might be a flooded condition. I held the pedal to the floor during startup and it started much more like it should. I know the tune is off and it is getting a new dyno tune this weekend to account for the new larger injectors. I adjusted the injector constant to account for the new injectors but maybe there is another setting that needs to be adjusted, like maybe for hot prime vs. cold prime. Lets see what happens after the new dyno tune.
