I paid 800, and it was done on the side, along with my headers and LCAs and RLBs and a few other things.

Through a shop, look to pay about a grand

Good shop?? for a cam install? Good lord man, it's not like your doing rocket science. I'll do it for 2 cases, 6 pizzas, and some Funions.

I called a couple places and they wanted 800-900 bucks, There are plenty of guides you can look at, plus its really not that hard its more time consuming. Since this will be your first time (assuming) then just make sure you do everything real carefully, no rushing and mark and tag parts, might even want to take pictures.

Should do it yourself...you will learn a lot about your car by doing the install yourself.

I agree, give it a try yourself. I did mine, and it ended up being pretty easy and straight forward. Just take your time, and post on here if you run into problems.

I live in between Ocala and Orlando. LT1Brutus I would be more than willing to supply the beer and food for yea. 95BlackTA only $200? What shop? Do you have their number? The install has been the only reason for not picking up the Hot Cam Kit.

Email me, Thebeast431@aol.com

Thanks,

Travis

Was he a good friend... I think if anyone, that wasn't a good friend, needed it done I would probably charge about $500 tops. If you have tools & a good manual it really isnt that bad. It is a bit time consuming for a firstimer. I say give it a shot if you have tools and a place to do it. Also when you pay a shops rates you usually do get the work backed up for a bit.
