Question cost of auto tranny rebuild?

My tranny has been shot for some time now. Well at least I know teh convertor is slipping like crazy! But teh car does have 82k so I might as well have the whole thing done. How much did an A4 run you guys? The only extras Im gonna add are a shift kit, tranny cooler and it seems like most of you add vette servos. If I do a stall it'll be a small one.

my brother just had his 4l60e rebuilt and it was about 1400 bucks and was just a basic rebuild with a few upgrades.

I had mine rebuilt about 5 months ago after full planetary failure and the reverse shaft breaking (which is very weak from the factory). Cost me $750.00, the only thing they replace different was a hardened steel reverse shaft (stronger than the factory). not too bad I dont guess.

You should be able to get a good rebuild from a well known shop for about what he said, $1400. P.S. Go with a stall convertor even if it is just a small one. Good luck.

I got mine done with the below listed additions for $1800. It was extra, but it was local, and has a good waranty.
