Corsa Catback???
Corsa Catback???
Hey, I know the exhaust subject has been beaten to death, but I have never seen anybody talk about Corsa. Does anybody really even use them? I have heard some clips from ls1sounds.com and I like the sound, but I was wondering if there Interior Sound Cancellation thing really works? This is one of the best sounds F-Body catbacks I have ever heard. A lot better than that SlowMaster crap. The Flow cat back makes the car sound to smooth, not like a true V-8 should sound like. Smooth is for a 4-banger. Anyways, anybody have any comments about Corsa?
Re: Corsa Catback???
the 95 i just bought has hooker shorties and a borla catback. i love the way it sounds inside and out. it's not that loud inside unless you want it to be. i can't hear them until 2000 or so with the radio on and the windows up. with the t-tops off and windows down they sound really mean. i've only had it for 3 days and i've gotten tons of compliments. you have to pick what's right for you though.
haha. sorry, i read corsa but my mind thought borla.

Yeah that is why I like it so much, its different and it sounds good on the exterior from the clips I have heard, what about the interior? Is it as quiet as they claim it is?Nice T/A BTW.
Re: Corsa Catback???
I have the Corsa cat-back with the RT y-pipe too. Relatively quiet at cruise/part throttle and very distinctive sound at WOT (obnoxious). I love mine. Noise cancellation techonology? I'd hate to hear one without it (more than likely b/s). Quite noisy in the cockpit, then again, I have nothing to compare it to. It may be the quietest inside, but I doubt it.

Re: Corsa Catback???
I've had mine installled for almost a year now and it's definitely quiet (good quiet deep rumble...not 4 cylinder quiet) while idling, but sounds great when you get on it. Nice surprise effect when someone pulls up next to you at the light and doesn't know what you have installed until you launch.
Not sure if it's noise cancellation or what, but I can definitely carry on a conversation in the car while crusing on the highway. That was important to me, since I have a daily driver. I just added the RT y-pipe, and it's definitely louder...but I wouldn't say obnoxious. I can still carry on a conversation in the car, even with the T-tops down.
Definitely a good buy..you won't be disappointed. If you want something loud all the time...try GMMG.

Re: Corsa Catback???
I think I have made up my mind that this is my catback of choice for my next Z. The one that I am parting out had a Dynomouth on it, it was LOUD, but to obnoxious inside the car, thanks for all your input.
