Valve spring question

Valve spring question
I am just about ready to start ordering all of my parts, and I thought I heard somewhere that the LT4 valve springs need to have a little work done on the head for the springs to work. Is this true? I know I will have to have the dowel pin pushed in, but I thought that was all that I needed. Is there anything else other than a timing chain?

Re: Valve spring question
I am going with the LT4 hotcam kit and a 100 shot on top of that. Hopeing that
and a 2800-3000 converter and 3.73 gears and hooker comp ceramic headers will get me to break 11's. If not i'll do a 125 shot. When I get the money I will add suspension mods like LCA's and torque arm and what not. Thanks for the reply's though guys.

Re: Valve spring question
Yeah I've been up there once or twice, but not with my car. My parents race up there. She has a 01 GTX that is red with black racing stripes, ram air, and runs low low 8's. And her boyfriend has an 02 GTP. They both have taken a frist place trophy home within the past 3 weeks. I hope to have my car up there once its done. We'll have to meet up there sometime. What kind of shop do you have?
