Corsa cat back installation: is this a problem?

I had the local Meineke shop install a Corsa cat back system on my '95 Formula (LT1). They didn't bother to look at Corsa's instructions.

One instruction item was that there be a clearance of 1/2 inch between the "muffler inlet over axle" pipe and the "outlet tail pipe".

At home I looked under the car at the installation. The space between these two pipes is about 3 sheets of copy paper.

What kind of problems are likely from these pipes being so close together??

Thanks

You may hear some noise from the pipes vibrating against each other...thats about it.
