Is it possible to fry the PCM code by aborting a PCM read in Tuner Cats?

 

When you are reading I dont think you can mess up the PCM. Atleast thats what i have heard. If you aborted a read and its giving you trouble pull the PCM BAT fuse in the fuse block on the side of the dash for about 30 seconds. Should reset the computer.

Well in short what happened was, I was testing the com port with a new laptop for tuning so I just started a TC read and when it started reading I just pressed the 'X'. then when I tried to Start freescan to check for codes it wouldn't connect anymore. Then the doozy came when I tried to start the car.... it just turned over but wouldn't start.

Yeah I pulled the puse for about a minute... Nothing. I am trying the battery cable right now. I am not sure if it makes a difference but at this point I need to try anything.

 

Pulling the neg. cable worked. Car runs again now. Still runs like crap but at least it runs... Panic mode off! thanks!!!
