Copper Spray A Gasket Question

I am installing some head gaskets right now and I sprayed on some Copper spray a gasket by permatex. I then put the gasket and head on the motor but didnt tighten it down. Well basically had the remove the head to check something out and the spray a gasket has almost dried and most has peeled off. Do I need to buy a new head gasket or can I try and remove it some way or should I just spray some more on over it? The gaskets I am using are Felpro 9966PT's. Thanks

A few people suggested it. I also was thinking that I dont exactly have perfect head sealing conditions either. I am putting heads from one motor on another when neither of them have been resurfaced and I know I have over heated the previous engine those heads were on. So I was just trying to play it safe.
The reason I took the head off is because I am a dumb ***. I forgot that there were 2 head bolts that were shorter than the others. I somehow got them in the right places on the first head but the second one I didnt. So basically after I put all the other bolts in a noticed that one just dropped in and didnt thread in so I thought that the hole was stripped so I was trying to check it out. I tried another bolt and I just happened to get the same lenght one, lmao.

you can use that stuff but its kind of old school...noone uses it anymore

It is supposed to fill in surface irreularities.....if you have a warped head or something its not going to do much

I use it on intake gaskets, water pump, etc.... Kinda useless on a head gasket I think.

I like it because if I have to pull the water pump, it'll come off cleaner. I won't have to work so hard to clean the area on the block.

The copper sealant was most often used on head gaskets before the advent of composite gaskets that don't need to be retorqued. If still used, I don't see how it can hurt anything.
