Cooling Problems

I have a 96 ss camaro and my low coolant light keeps coming on. i have the proper amout of coolant in the radiator and the overflow bottle. this problem only seems to occur when on warm days after i have been driving it for 20 min. or so. when it is cooler outside the light never comes on. i have done a coolant flush lately think maybe a clogged system would cause it but that didnt work. could it be something wrong with my t-stat? or my radiator? any help would be great.

Re: Cooling Problems

it is common for the low coolant sensor to go bad

are you checking the level in the rad? or just the bottle?

Re: Cooling Problems

Another alternative is to just unplug it and the light will go out. Assuming you look at your temp gauge every now and then, no biggie.
