What'd you hit?

Just kidding. Good to hear. Did your SES light come on at all when the fans came on? If it did something is not right with the wiring/temp sensor.

Re: Cooling fans are MIA

It was a chevy truck with exhaust work and a 350...

Anyhow i didnt get the SES light .. i think it was just that the car was low on coolant like someone else had suggested. I am considering the SLP fan switch.. since i dont have any mods that will require a custom tune just yet..

You plan on buying this? Why? If I can find it I'll show you a picture of my manual fan switch, and my homemade shift button

It really is not that hard at all to make a manual switch. Get a switch, get some wire, maybe 10 feet...I have no idea how long...and I'll get a ton of pictures and a walk through of how to do it. (since shoebox's site only has the wiring diagram )

Re: Cooling fans are MIA

I am not too technical when it comes to car electronics.. so i wanted the SLP option because it was plug and play.

But send your howto and i'd be more than willing to try it out

There is my very own homemade walk through of installing a manual fan switch. Yes, I know it's long, but it really is not that hard. More time consuming than it is hard. For a little extra time, and only 10-15 dollars, it really beats SLP's $70. Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the walkthrough. That sorta makes things a bit more clear. I had a blast today .... glad to report no overheating and no other new gremlins.

Well poooo!!!! My fans quit working tonight. They work when the A/C is on but not any other time. When they actually do come on (hardly ever) the Check engine light comes on and the fans run constantly. Im thinking CTS. How about you guys?
