Coolant smell

I have a 160 deree thermostat and an electric water pump so the motor rarely gets hot but when it gets hot and gets up to 210 degrees I get a coolant smell in the car. Could that be a Head Gasket or Heater Core.

Could be a heater core. check under the passenger side dash for moist places in the carpet or pull the carpet up and if its wet, then thats your problem.
