Question Coolant Problem

Ok here goes. I have been having an overheating while idling problem. I bleed the system and that was fixed. I have also been smelling coolant through the ac vents pretty strongly, and when i put the a/c temp in the middle between blue and red i get a mist that smells like coolant. I have also noticed that there is a lot of condensation and frosting on the coolant lines when i check after i have been driving for a while. The air coming out is pretty cold, not freezing or anything, but it never has been and i had it recharged last summer. Also, whenever i go up a hill and the car has to shift down or if i get on it my fans slow down to almost nothing. I have had that prob before and it turned out to be the belt tensioner. We replaced that and the belt is good and tight so i know that isn't the prob this time.

Any ideas? Hopefully some that are easy to fix and low cost.... yeah right, cheap lt1 fix ...lol!

BTW,

1995 Camaro Z28 5.7, Auto, 2.73s's, FIPK, Throttle Body Bypass, Air Foil, and that's about all i can afford but want to do more,....one day.

Re: Coolant Problem

It sounds like you heater core is leaking.Pressure test the system to see it it holds pressure. If not, look closely at the heater core..
