coolant in the oil?

I got some antifreeze in the oil from working on my car. What is the proper way to remove it and is this going to have bad for the engine? I ran the car for one minute and drained it. There was 1/2 a quart more than when i had just oil. Then i ran 5 quarts of old oil for 5 minutes and drained it and changed the filter and added new oil.

thats about the best you can do. just thoroughly drain the oil and change filter. i dont know that i would have started the motor while it was in there. how did you get the coolant in there?

I removed the manifold and some spilled in. I had a car years ago that had a leak and would always be higher oil level each time i checked it. It turned out to be a gasket and the engine was fine. I guess coolant is not the worst thing i could get in the oil.
