coolant light STAYS ON help any1
My coolant light keeps coming on. I checked my radiator fluid and its full. And from the looks of it, the color is orange so I am guessing there is enough Dexi-cool or whatever its called. whats going on?
The low coolant sensor is on the top right hand side of the radiator. It is cheap and easy to replace. You get much better access to it if you remove the battery. It is held onto the radiator by a clip which you pull out to remove it. If you disconnect the electrical connector to it, the low coolant light should go out. Some guys just leave it disconnected. I went ahead and replaced mine when it went bad.
Ice,
Check w/ any Chevy dealer; warning-the sensor is not cheap! Replaced mine about 3 weeks ago; didn't keep the box so I don't have the part #. EASY to change as noted above. WILL cure the "light on" thing.
