Coolant leak when jacking rear

When I jacked the rear of my car up to do brakes I got a little coolant puddle. The coolant was coming off the harmonic balancer. Is this just condensation, waterpump on the way up or anything else? I never had coolant problems before so this is a first for me.

Why don't you start her up and see what she does? The waterpump is right above it. Could possibly be coming out of the weep hole in the bottom of the waterpump which means the waterpump is on its way. Maybe the waterpump is leaking where it mounts to the block? Might need some new gaskets. Or maybe one of your hoses are leaking? Just a guess. Shouldn't be to difficult to figure out.

In gonna rent one of those cooling pressure testers to see if it is a hose or something and try to pinpoint the leak. I cant find the leak right now except that it is coming offf of the damper. This leads me to beleive failing water pump but my father tells me it could be a radiator "shooting" coolant at it as well... Who knows. Im kinda excited that this is a good excuse for an EWP.

If the system is going to shoot out coolant, which is usually because of the air pockets that are inside the system or maybe its over filled, its going to shoot out of the recovery tank. And if it does that you will know thats wheres its coming out of. It will be wet all around the overflow tank and leaking down through the plastic onto the ground. You would see a puddle on the ground or a big wet spot. If thats the case you just bleed the system, but I wouldnt think that is your problem. Why don't you just jack the front of the car up, start it up, and get underneith and see where the coolant is coming from. If its coming out of the weep hole you will see it, its right on the bottom of the pump.Theres also a few hoses you could check from under there to.
