Coolant leak from bolt hole

Coolant leak from bolt hole
This is odd. I've noticed since cold weather got here, and I let the car warm up, a small amount of coolant leaks from the top bolt hole on the passenger side of the water pump. It appears that once the thermostat opens, the leaking stops. Could this be repaired by draining enough coolant to remove the bolt, and coat it with some kind of no leak compound? Car is a '96 Formula.

Like Shoebox stated, waterpump bolts require thread sealant. In addition, the bolt(s) may not have been torqued to the correct value and the fluid could be leaking from the waterpump gasket, just showing itself by the bolt.

Turns out it wasn't the bolt hole. I took a million candlepower light out to the car, opened the hood, started the car and watched for the leak. It was the hose above it leaking. Tightened the clamp and solved it. The coolant was dripping right on top of the bolt head, making it appear to be coming from the bolt hole.

Yes, I wish everything was as simple. I learned a long time ago to look at the simple stuff first. I didn't want to mess with draining any coolant or the bolt. It's cold here. That's why I took the light out, to see better.
