guy at the dealer has no clue wtf he is talking about IMO.

the tube is not gonna mess with clearances expecially in a 3rd gen. in the fbody the banjo bolts are almsot right against the firewall, so i cant see any probs in a 3rd gen.

The holes in the sides of the heads are for a coolant sensor[one, on drivers side, for the temp guage..
The front hole [and the 2 side holes] are due to the heads being reversable.. you can plug the front and one side hole..
The coolant steam pipe can't just be plugged off, or you may as well just plug the rear holes?
It has to tie into the cooling system..
Do you have an LT1 radiator?
It'll have provision for that hose [skip the throttle body and run it as a 'TB bypass' setup, direct to radiator..]

Heres' the cooling hose diagrams compliments of shoebox' site:

I am suggesting the 95-7 hose configuration here as opposed to the 93-4.. you can get the Goodyear hi miler kit for it for about 100 from Summit etc..

i dont have an LT1 radiator..im using all my 3rd gen stuff in this..
this is also a carbed setup..

ok how about this..my car has an oil cooler..i connect the tube and it runs toward the TB..well my oil cooler lines are pretty close, so what about running the tube into my oil cooler lines..which go directly to the radiator... im sure i could rig something up

since my ECM will no longer be performing any function how will i get the temp guage to work?

Thanks!!

tomorrow im gonna finish it up and i would really like to knoe if i can tie in the coolant tube into my oil cooler lines
i can get it to work i just need to know if it will

about also about the coolant temp sensor..
my car doesnt have an ECM anymore so would there be a point to putting it in there?....if theres a way to make it work then great!..but ill have my dual electric fans on all the time so i wont really be worried about the engine temp...to a point that is

aThe PCM temp sensor is in the water pump housing..
The temp guage sensor is in the drivers side head..
Why not get an aftermarket guage with sensor and put it in there?
Look on shoebox page for those hose diagrams... on the 93-4 configuration there's a 'tee' in the bleeder pipe, as opposed to a plain pipe in the bleeder for 95-7...
That might be a good place to connect the steam pipe [since you aren't using an LT1 radiator with the proper fitting]
