UPDATE

Might be fireing it up this week end
I ended up buying a painless wireing harness to make it easier and it was actally painless it comes with a ALDL port and check engine light so i wired in my lt1 scanmaster. My friend and i got all the gauges wired up and got all the lights, brake lights, power windows and trunk popper working. I will have a update in a few days and maybe a video ?

man that is nice. makes me want to just yank my powertrain and sell the roller.
I'm a notch lover but can't really get into wanting to work on a ford motor, too much info to re-learn after growing up on SBC's.
I have to know, what valve covers are those?

Might have something to do with it going in a foxbody instead of an
f-body. Don't know for sure though.

because, you need LT1 headers to clear the frame and everything else in the way

I have SBC headers on my turbo setup though, as do many other people

i kinda figured that...butwith so many different sbc header combos you would think one would fit just fine. and why cant you use just any sbc shorty header?

lt1's are such a damn rip off! the car is cheap. but the parts for these things are nuckin futs! cant the parts companys get real about a damn price? headers that cost prolly 50 bucks to make...over 400 :eyes: how rediculous!

About 5-6 years ago i bought a stock 75 cosworth vega roller. Body was mint. I figured it would take about 3-5 grand to biuld shorten a rear end and buy all the syspension and fab work. So i ended up selling it.

This mustang has a biult 8.8 rear end and biult stock style sespension with no fab work and its good for high 8s low 9`s and i have about $1,200 invested but needs a cage yet. Mustang parts are cheap vary cheap.
Also the motor, trans and headers bolted right in with no fab work.

LTX in a notchback F.T.W.

Bigcowl-imp, i just picked up a 71 vega roller with a 10pt cage and 4link suspension for 1800. No wheels/tires, no motor, but it does have a built powerglide in it

Looks like an LTx vega will be in my future

Last year I saw an 89 Mustang GT W/ heavily modified juiced engine out of a 99 gmc yukon, rip a 9.26. A lot of guys have been throwing gm engines in their fox bodies lately, very very cheap. And I agree whole heartedly, you get the best of both worlds. Ford's superior rear-end, chevy powered.

All that's missing is the hemi heads...

I long time ago there was a guy in houston w/ a 5.0 in a 4th gen. it sat really far forward but ran like crazy. stupidest looking swap ever but i guess if you have a motor and some skills you can be different for cheap.
