Converting Over, My Mustang Sucks!

Needalt1, you should prolly check out this 93 for sale, 93's are just as responsive to mods as 94 +. I guarantee it will go 13.8's with a cai and borla, as it sits. With only 64K miles, it will last probably another 100,000 miles plus.

And yea I don't doubt that it has 13.8's in it, he usually keeps up with me and I run 13.7's.
My step bro is only the second owner of it and we are friends with the first owner of the car who babied it like a grocery getter...and my step brother has taken pretty good care of it as well...its never been to the track either

i myself used to be a mustang owner, up until a month ago when i sold it and bought a camaro, i owned a 92 gt, also few others in the past ranging from 88 to 92 5.0's, and i have to tell you everyone knows whats good for them ( ok some people don't), i sure found out, but maybe a little late, and a camaro is whats good for me, also if you compare same years of both models youll find that the camaro is always more expensive than the mustangs, so finally i could afford one, and the minute i test drove this thing i knew i had to have it, i personally think that there is no comparison between a camaro and a mustang, not only the engine, but the whole car, how it drives, how it handles, it will take a lot of money to make a mustang handle like a camaro, i dont care what anyone says, you can drop it, you can buy all the after market stuff, but will never feel like a camaro, i also like being low in a sports car, in a mustang i feel like im in a truck, i think the f-body is the closest thing to riding in a corvette, and corvettes always been my favorite, so until i can buy an ls1 corvette ill keep driving an f-body, but i assure you after my experiences im not going back to mustangs any time soon.
Yea, my step bro that is selling this formula had a 90 5.0 GT before it that his brother totaled and thus he ended up getting this 93 firebird and he said that even though this firebird is an auto and his 5.0 was a stick, he said that this car is a hell of a lot faster than his 5.0, which wasn't stock either...
Well glad to hear your dropping the stang for the camaro. It is a lot faster car in stock form ecspecially since you have a convertable. But mustangs ecspecially the 5.0's can be made real fast for not much money. The parts for them is a lot less then the same parts for a lt1 and a ls1. Your gears were definetly hurting you. But you will like the camaro a lot. I know i like mine. My friend just got a 95 gt convertable. It is gonna take him a while before he can just catch up to me now. Then even harder after i get my headers and cam.
i am not talking bolt ons speed density has limits! maf dont all this little stuff like cai, catback and fp dont mean crap i am talking heads cams strokers do a serch or ask advanced tech for the run down on speed density 13.8 oh boy that is so fast elmer i am talking 11's 10's 9's = no sd
dude what the hell are you talking about? what the hell do you know of speed density? 93s respond just as well to bolt ons. maf cars are easier to tune because the maf does all the work for you. if your a real tuner youd prefer speed density, why do you think most after market DFI's out there are non maf and speed density. so the maf doesnt auto correct the tuning you have done and the car runs as you want it to. sure maf is great for your average modder but serious racers go with DFI which is speed density. and what you think speed density cars cant accept heads? cams? strokers? theres thing called getting a chip burned.

Well, I've finally accepted that my 94 GT sucks. I should of gotten a Camaro from the start. I don't know much about them though. Is an LT1 better than an LS1? I was leaning toward an LT1 because they seem to be a little more affordable and I've heard they are capable of making more power. Any year better than another? What can say a 94 Z28 run in stock form? My 94 GT vert that ran a depressing 16.2@86 mph (302 auto w/ 2.73's). What can I expect to pay for a 94 Z28?

A 95 w/ a bad tranny is what I am looking for. E-mail me at dkeers@iupui.edu if you are serious.
