Convertible fuel pump install?

Does anyone know of an instructions page for doing the trap door fuel pump installation on a convertible? I have already done a search and could not find anything.

I have searched and posted this but not sure anyone has actually done this on a vert yet. I think it is the same in the pump area.

The pump is in the same area, but on the convertible, you will have to cut through some extra metal that is there to help stiffen up the chassis... It's been a while, but I know it has been done by someone on this board, but he said that it was very difficult...

Might be easier to drop the tank...

Re: Convertible fuel pump install?

Thanks for the replys. I found a couple of people that have done it and they said that it was hard. After looking at it from all angles I think that I am going to cut it. I work on airplanes and I have a couple of sheetmetal guys who are gonna help me out so I will be OK. I'll post the results.
