Converter guys inside please!

I was needing to know what shift points you were using with your converter? I have the Hypertech programmer and was wondering what you had the rev limit set to and also where you tell the car to shift. I am gonna be installing a 2800 stall on a 94 z28 tommorow and I will need to know then. This is a stock internal, bolt on car with no power adder by the way.

Ive never heard of raising shift RPMs for a converter. I raised mine to 6000-6100 for a cam and RRs. Your stock valve train may not like high RPMs. You may break a rocker or push rod.

Question Me neither

I have with my cam like a 6200 rpm rev limit, i neevr used HPP3, but my buddy did. He just messed with it until he got proper shift points, but that had to deal with a 3.23 gear to a 3.73 gear swap, and he was fine after he messed with it.

If yours is a locked up style converter just foot break and stall just short of the tires spinning, lauch it and if it seems your shifting too early, adjust accordingly.
