Someone from the LT1Edit list said you have some testing info on the P1371 code for OBD2. I did a search but had no luck. I am trying to help a buddy out with his 96Z and this code. My Haynes manual only covers OBD1 diagnostics. Is this the same testing procedure for Low Res. Pulse in OBD1?

 

Yes, the procedure is basically the same. You are trying to prove that the 5v from the pcm is reaching the opti on terminal "A".

i had the same code, YOUR OPTI IS SHOT!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE, you might not wanna believe it but IT IS, when i finally took it off, there was broken pieces inside and yeah it still had spark when i cheked the plugs. doesnt matter man... GOOD LUCK
