First off, this is on a 94 Z28 A4.

Yesterday I managed to break the hinge on my center console, so now If i try to open it, the lid just falls off lol.

I was wondering if the newer style console (99+ i think), the style with the multiple cup holders would fit? If so, will it bolt right in, or would I need to modify it?

Yes it wil fit, with minor adjustments.

 

Is there any place to get a newer console pretty cheap? Or do you pretty much just have to wait to find a car being parted out?
