Underdrive pulleys and MSD ignition....any TRUE horsepower gains out of these mods or a proven waste of time???

Those twho were my first mods...my car already had the intake and exhaust...but I say go for the ignition kit...it's a good thing to have in any case. My car idled like shzt before I brought mine. took my idle from 1,100 to 800

The MSD will accelerate the degrading of the Optispark. Plus they are of no real value in terms of HP gains unless you are running a boosted applicaiton.

I'd like to see proof of that.

ONly the non Vented optifarts are troublesome on the MSD's

I have pretty much EVERYTHING done to my car except these two mods....heads, cam, 12-bolt, CAI, exhaust, 58mm TB, electic WP, Long Tubes, etc etc etc......I was just looking to squeeze another .10 out of her at the track and thought maybe these two mods would do it....

Hell I thought it was common knowledge at this point. The MSD's increased spark causes a greater buildup of Ozone in the cap. THis happens over time anyway, but the MSD only makes it worse.

Besides, the "multiple spark" only occurs under 3000 rpm, because there is physically not enough time above that to discharge multiples sparks.

Regarless of whether you think it kills optis or not, its a waste on a naturally aspirated motor.
