When my cam went in, the guy adjusted 2 of mine to tight causing 0 compression on 2 of the cylinders. With all that unburned gas it fouled out all my plugs and 02 sensors. The car ran like total hell.

Mine kept loosening up on my truck too, it was aggravating. I was thinking about putting loctite on the allen nuts at one point. One time I pulled the valve cover and the allen nut had come all the way out and was sitting inside the lip of the Head.

To lock them down properly, remove the lash, turn the nut 1/4 of a turn, lock the polylock down, and then turn the nut another 1/4 turn or so. The polylock will turn with the nut and lock hard. It won't back out.

Anyone else use this technique? Mine have also been loosening with my Scorpion 1.65 rockers and I'm looking for a better method.

at 160K, I pulled the heads to get cleaned up. I Left the pushrods sitting in my garage. Now I learn that might not have been good. Anyway I put it all back together according to Haynes, engine off method, and now at 196K, have had no problems. I could have sworn the manual said turn 3/4 turn past the no slack point.

Thats not a technique, THAT IS THE WAY YOU DO IT! If you aren't doing it that way well good luck to your engine buddy, I always did it that way, first time I got rockers it automatically made sense to me that I have to do it that way without anyone telling me, you have to realize when do it that way you jam the locknut against the rocker stud which is what they were designed to do except you put proper force on.
