why do people normally raise their compression and how much would my compression be if i used the impala ss head gaskets?

 

The more you *compress* the air/fuel mixture, you'll get more power. But pinging might occur. That's why high octane gas is recommended for our engines. I went to 11.2:1 with Fel-Pro head gaskets. You'll get a little more from the Impy gaskets.
