Compression question???
Compression question???
You can see the mods in my sig but i just compression tested my car because i thought that i might have a bent valve and it read 210 per square inch on all of the cylinders and 180 on one of them....is that unusally high or is it right on? How do you convert that over to 11:1 or 10:9:1 or what is it? Thanks
Michael

Simply put compression ratio is the ratio of volume at bottom dead center to top dead center. So you can't really tell from a compression test, BUT with a higher C.R. the numbers will be higher. (there may be some big mathematical equation I don't know about however)
Your numbers seem fine to me,
Now you just need to figure out why one was 30 below the others, that would be a problem.
