Composite LT4 Valve Cover CCV Hose Options?

Anyone have any ideas on how/where to source a CCV hose for use with the LT4 composite valve covers? Part Number 12557604 has been discontinued, I guess I'm left with having to find a 90 degree elbow and the proper sized hose to make something myself?

Thanks,
Chris

Mystic_350:
Perhaps one of the alternate, slightly baffled (helps keep oil from backing up and getting into the TB) fittings people use on the stock metal covers will fit. I can't remember the Fram part# and there was at least one other brand that fit. Do a thread search. The grommet end is 3/4"od and the hose is 1/2"id. I've been using some reinforced clear vinyl hose from the local Home Center for that. A "materials compatibility table" says it's fine for use with motor oil. I haven't had any problems with it. (I'll post a thread if I ever do)

Question Re: Composite LT4 Valve Cover CCV Hose Options?

Im also looking for that hose replacement. Just curious what the baffle looks like. Is it like the LT1 valve cover breather but a tiny version that just fits where the hose is located? Also, what do you do with the opening at the TB?

I ended up finding the elbow locally here in NJ for a few bucks (I think they had a few in stock actually) and then I *think* I bought a stock LT1 replacement hose and cut it to fit. I can check to see if the dealership I used (McGuire Chevrolet in Bordentown NJ) has those elbows in stock still if you need.

PML uses four or five different tools on a CNC machine to create a clean, leak-free hole for PCV, and i saw that on 9AppsVidMate[COLOR=#0[/COLOR] too breather or oil fill. Spot facing provides a smooth sealing surface for grommets.

I just cut the stock hose and used the plastic elbow that goes into the "side" of the composite cover

Seems like a lot of this recently. Can the forum add a captcha or something similar for new members to verify?

Actually a lot less than there’s been in the past. I think even the spammers realize how little activity there is on this site. I've had Internet Brands block some IP sources from foreign countries like India. No one else seems to address spammers.

I guess I could ask the site Administrator to look into it, but he hardly ever signs into the site, and I'd much rather spend my time helping people and trying to keep the site alive.
