Comp Cams Pro Mag RR

Seeing how LT1's are center bolt heads you have to use SA RR on them. Im a bit confused about the fact that people say they have the Pro Mags on there car but all I see in Summit that they are no SA RR. Do you guys put on push rod guide plates? I ask this because im building another motor that is going to use the center bolt Vortec heads. I have an article that use the Comp Cams Mag RR which are SA but are made of steel I think. Well and pic's and info an how to put Pro mags on will help. Like modding the valve covers to fit them and stuff.

thanks

You can use non SA RR on the lt1 engine. Guideplates and hardened pushrods are a must. Some people have had the center support for the valve cover hit, but simply have notched it and had no more clearance problems.

I used Non SA cc 1.6 rr on mine with Moroso guideplates I have a 94 and they have hardened pushrods so I was able to reuse stock pushrods. Make sure you have hardened pushrods or better.
