comp cams 977 springs good for this??

comp cams 977 springs good for this??

I just got this cam and was told that the comp cams 977 springs will work with it. the specs are 266int and 276exh dur @50 and .640int .649 lift with 1.6rr. the cam is ground on 108 centerline and has a 112lobe seperation it is a solid roller and I will be running 1.6 RR with it. Please help me out

Matt,

977's are not even close on a setup like that. First they have way to little pressure seated and over the nose and on top of that will hit coil bind very early.

e-mail me for more help if you need it.

Valve lengths retainers, locks etc... all needs to be looked at here along with the cam specs to see what the RIGHT spring is for your your setup.

Max recommended lift for 977's is 0.600 !!!!!! Coil bind height is 1.195.
