Pretty new to the LT1 motor, but not new to performance motors. What do you guys think of this cam. Is it a good street cam, any experiences?

Would be used in a 1995 Formula LT1, A4, 3.23 gears, Borla 2 3/4" y-pipe, 160 stat.

If you were putting a blower on maybe otherwise keep looking.

Look into the cc503 xe 224/230 112 cam instead, or a custom grind.

Will that cam (cc503 xe 224/230 112) work on the stock converter for a few months?

had it in my LT1 right after head gaskets took a crap. ran great sounded nice too, like anyother cam youll see better improvements with it and a good tune. anyways i liked it and its still going to be going in my 383. not optimal but itll be nice to have some mean torque with that thing.

If you do a search you'll find a lot of info on that cam.

haha, money buddy. not all of us sit on gold mines, i had it before the 383 and im just putting it in now for awhile. eventually itll be swapped out for something bigger. im using it on stock castings and dont want to spin my car to the moon in order to get the power where the castings (home P&P) wont flow anyways. cant afford a custom grind and i like the driveability and torque the 305 offers as opposed to the 306. whats one guys bag isnt always the best route for someone else. besides my mech engineering college budget is non Existent and this is just a street toy. someday ill build the killer engine for the strip just not today.

Well I guess that makes sense if you don't have the heads to feed the motor...but I would still go bigger to 306 territory, since a 306 in a 383 will be like a 305 in a 350.

I had a CC305 with ported heads and a stock bottom end. In a full weight '93 Z with mid length headers and stock suspension, it ran 12.0 @ 112 MPH. Yea, I'd have to say it's a damn nice cam for a 350 inch engine.

Yah, but the 503 got me to the same #'s with stock / unported heads in a full weight car
