comp 987 springs Do I need to valvegrind?

I'm Currently putting a motor together, I purchased 987 valvesprings locks and titanium retainers.... I will be using these on my stock heads,Do I need to do any extra work to the heads,to be able to use these Valve springs?.... DO I need to Grind the Valves in the Heads?.... And do these valvesprings require shims, when your using them on stock heads? Any help will be appreciated!

They will work with stock heads but the locators used if they are 1.50" will not fit. You must either machine the head seats for the locators or cut down the locators. No other machining is required... and to answer the shim question... its just depends. I know you dont wanna hear that but you have to check the installed height and if its not what you are aiming for then shims may be needed to correct the problem.
