Cometic headgaskets on LTx engine issues

Has anyone here used the Cometic MLS style headgaskets on a LTx engine and experienced oil seepage at or near the number 7 or 8 cylinders. I have a problem with oil seeping out near the inside head bolt just below the 7 and 8 exhaust ports. Oil is not coming from above at the valve covers nor is it coming from the intake china wall area.

Did you use copperseal spray on the gasket?

How well are the heads and block machined?

Hi Bret, the block was prepped for use of the MLS gasket. When I discovered the leak that was my first question to the machine shop, as I told them what gasket I was intending to use. I didn't use the copperseal spray. I was told by cometic NOT to use any sealer on the gasket. Now I wish I had........is that a requirement from your experience??
