Combination Motorsports heads???

I was looking into buying a set from these guys. I talked to Seth tonight on the phone and I was just wondering if anyone has a set of these on their car, and what they are seeing out of them? Thanks.

Oh and I have already tried the search method. Nothing going there.... Stages 2's

Just out of curiosity (I am not flaming), but who's saying they outflow everyone? Any dyno sheets/time slips to back it up?

I realize on an internet forum it's easy to mistake a question for a slam - but I am genuinely curious here.

By Cmotorsports of course. No, J/k'ing. By comparing their flow numbers with those of others on their bench. Also their flow numbers are quite impressive, but not sure if anyone has flowed them on another bench yet, but we all know you have to campare all heads on the same bench. They are a relitively new company that started out in the B-body world last year. Seth and Sam started with their SS's(Turbos/superchargers) then designed and marketed a supercarger kit for the B-body. They then branched out into what you see today. From seeing the dyno videos/charts of some of their customers cars, I believe there flow numbers. And trust me, some of there cars are f'ing crazy!

P.S. Check out one of their customers dyno video here. Download it here. http://www.racingflix.com/getvideo.asp?v=188&p=2

Flow bench numbers vary a good amount from bench to bench.
There is also so much "flow bench voodoo"
The only real way to compare is to flow them all on the same bench.
wasn't there some company that claimed crazy numbers but ended up being crap? ARE was it?
GTP has been slacking too from what I hear.

So true Trey, that's why I hate to give out flow numbers.

Just wait the proof to the capability of these heads will be known this weekend. The car is getting dyno tuned and raced this coming weekend.

Ken didn't you post earlier that you were getting your heads reflowed at a local shop. If so how did they compare to the flow numbers you got from the porter. I'm interested in those heads also. Frank95z

That's cool, keep us posted on the results. I respect your decision to post everything at once. Being a fellow Okie, I've been following your project. Also, I'm currrently in the process of doing a similar H/C project myself.

Trey - I'm fully aware of "flow bench voodoo", I was just wondering what #s CM quoted him.

All I can say at this time is that they were lower than what cmotorsports had them at. This was done out of courisity more than anything else. I really don't know what type of flow bench he had or anything else like that other than the typical 28" test he done on them. I can give you the local numbers at this time.
250@.550 (Intake) 191@.550 (Exhaust) like I said this is the local shop the cmotorsports were a lot higher. Seth was kind enough to give me my flow numbers for the heads and I promised that I would keep that between us for now. There is nothing really shaddy going on here, I think I'm one of the first ones on this board that's going to use there heads.

The motor right now sits at a 11:1 (re-verfied by me) compression ratio right were Cmotorsports said it would be and what I asked for.

So far I'm happy on the way the car sounds and performs, I have not really got a chance to get really on it hard but from some of the playing around that I have done is it pulls pretty good on the top end.

Still the proof will be on what the dyno will say and what the track results prove. Both which will happen this weekend.

B-body board CM heads discussion
In that thread Seth tells about how they flow thier heads compaired to how the whole world flows thier heads. I am not saying they VODOO the bench. But most places use a 3 and 1/4 inch clay tube to sit over the intake ports where CM uses a mock LT1 intake runner. I talked to Seth alittle about it the other night and he explained it to me.

Keep us posted and good luck.
