combination motorosports, advanced induction, or lloyd elliot?!?
combination motorosports, advanced induction, or lloyd elliot?!?
Well, im looking for a good head, cam package to finally put some mroe power into the Z. Right now, its sitting in the garage mostly, and is NOT my daily driver.... but it must still pass emissions....
Ive been checking out these three different companies looking for packages.....
any opinions on them? Any experiences with any of them?

Re: combination motorosports, advanced induction, or lloyd elliot?!?
I highly recommend LE. Lloyd did my heads for an LT1 383 which is under construction and my engine builder thought they were among the best he had ever seen. Loyd has 3 (I believe) cam/head combinations depending on your power goals. He is excellent to work with, is a small business owner who provides excellent customer service and workmanship at a very reasonable price, and stands behind his work. If you do a search you will find numerous kudos from his current and former customers. I'm not suggesting the others are not excellent; it's just that for the total package, Lloyd is my first choice.

I would say that LE would be a good choice too since you have to get a cam made especially for the emissions requirements. That means you should really opt for the best porting you can get and team that up with a custom cam from him.

Ill put my vote in for Cmotors. Theres a reason their work is so expensive you know. If you got the money, go with them. Not sure about emissions though cause i dont have to worry about that stuff on the eastern shore!! As soon as i get my exhaust done and gears in, hopefully ill have good (first hand) proof to back my previous statement up. Eithere way you go, i think all three will make you very happy.

im telling you should us loyd i have a set of heads he did for me, and i had some curcumstances come up. with another machine shop and loyd advised me what to do to get the best for the money i had to spend, so i ended up with a set of his heads with 2.05 valves and new seats, and incredible flow numbers and the low and mid lift numbers these heads have will make some great power.
his customer service is great, and hes a stand up guy. and i have a recomended him to sevral people (freinds) and i wouldnt send them his way if i thought different.
you will not be disapointed. tell him what you want to do with the car and he will tell you what you need to get it done, he wont try to sell the mose expensive stuff if you dont need it.
and the guy who does his machine work (trevor) does a great valve job.
the point is i highly recomend loyd
heres my flow #s

I have talked to lloyed and advanced induction. i think both are great but i would go with LE if i were to go with Lt1 heads. Now i know AI is building a bad *** afr style head.
Re: combination motorosports, advanced induction, or lloyd elliot?!?
My vote goes for Lloyd. I wanted a small cam so I could up the idle and not have any lope through the stock muffler for the sleeper effect(helps a lot with money races). Lloyd got Joe to design me a baby cam(220/226) that did just that but still made awesome power. I never would've thought that baby cam would've went 11.71 at 116.7 in a horrible.
Lloyd helped me set up my entire car to make it a great runner, but still sound like it just has a aftermarket catback.
I'm still very thankful Lloyd talked me into his custom cam opposed to running a cc305. Although, its very sad that I will never get to see that motor run in good weather in my car, I know it had 11.40's at 118+mph in it.
I'm now running a 383 with the le2 package. Got 200 miles on it, so new dyno #'s and times soon to come.
