color me confused
I have a fuel pressure guage right now, what else would I need to connect it up properly? I was thinking a fuel press regulator and a fuel pressure sender? I'm confusing myself here, i'd assume the regulator would be all I need but how is the info getting to the guage then?
What exactly would I need to get my fuel pressure guage connected?
your knowledge
thanks

What kind of fuel gauge do you have.... electric or mechanical?
All you need to do is connect the sensing point to the Schrader valve test port on the fuel line behind the intake manifold. Nothing to do with the fuel pressure regulator. The regulator has a fixed spring pressure, and the spring moves to keep the rail pressure where it belongs. There is no connection from the fuel system to the computer, so the PCM does not know what the fuel pressure is, and can not change it.
The Schrader valve is like a tire valve, take the core out with a tire valve core tool, screw a -4AN fitting on, then adapt the -4AN fitting to the sensor for your electric gauge, or just connect a -4AN hose for your mechanical gauge.
Do NOT under any circumstances use a mechanical guage inside the passenger compartment.

Ok, I see what you mean with the mechanical one that would be used under the hood. I have an electrical one most likely the same as what you have in the "office" lol. I figured out the mechanical one, the electrical one is the one i'm
on.
The air/fuel guage was pretty self explainitory, power, gnd and have to tap into one of the front O2 wires. Fuel messes me up. Thanks for the quick learning.

What brand electric? The AutoMeter electric fuel pressure gauges come with a sensor. It has 1/8" NPT threads. If you do a search, you should find one of my posts with detailed list of parts you need. Or someone copied it and put it on their website, since I've been too lazy to put it on my site.....
