I know it is not healthy to rev the cold engine, but is that blue smoke related to the cold revving ? Is it normal ?

Im no expert but i just had my engine rebuilt and it does smoke a little bit when its cold, but it goes away pretty quick. I guess cause the rings need to warm up and expand.

I hope so. Because It's a new engine. (1500 miles or so)

its probally just oil gettin past the rings when their cold and havent expanded yet

No I have not piston slap. Sometimes it smokes when it is warmed up @ WOT

Its not normal to smoke blue smoke ever with the exception of a newly rebuilt engine. Mine did the same thing for a little while after my rebuild Mind you I noticed it on shifts on the highway, i never did rev it when cold...

I will drive it and I will look if there is any blue smoke at WOT after its warmed up. I don't want to believe that my piston rings didn't seat correct.

Ditto, should never blow blue smoke. Your engine does NOT need to be warm for the "rings to expand", this is nonsense. Your engine should be well broken in at 1500m.
If after rebuild you used synthetic oil your rings may not have seated properly. Or may not have been installed correctly. Worn valve guides and/or seals can also cause blue smoke. Or it could be just your PVC.

i have never seen blue smoke on cold start from any car.
that was weird!
