Re: Cold Air Intake

Ive heard those metal ones soak up heat. If i had the money i would buy the actual k&n fipk. But for under 70 bucks it may be worth a try.

87 dollars after shipping. I say spend a few dollars more and pick up a nice used SLP/K&N/Moroso/Lingenfelter from the board. Also I just bought a Lingenfelter SuperTube on sale for $134. Its a good deal if you ask me

Re: Cold Air Intake

$67 dollars is a lot for one of those kits off of ebay. I bought one for $49 with shipping for my brother's birthday. I think it works pretty good. It drops down out of the engine compartment and picks up the "cold" air. After we drive it we dont feel like the intake tube collects the heat. I would say that the ebay CAI are a good deal. This one is pretty pricy though.

I will say that you wont gain as much as you would from other CAI but it is a good deal for the little bit of money compared to new K&N or Moroso. IMO.

Re: Cold Air Intake

I think of it as "you get what you pay for" so I would personally go with a name brand, SLP K&N Moroso LPE. They all basically flow the same so I went with what i thought looks best, thats why I went with SLP's. But that is just my opinion.
