Cold Air Intake

which cold air intake/induction systems are out there to choose from? i know there is the k&n fipk, moroso cai, slp cai. thats about all i know. also how much would each of the ones to chooose from be?? and where could i get them for the best price? is it hard to install and where does the filter go? i have read that it goes down into the passenger side fender but how does it really get cold air from there? also how many gains of hp and tq would i get from this mod? many companies claim 10-20 but im thinking maybe like 10 whp?? maybe? well i just bought my 95 Z28 M6 all stock last week and i want to start modding it. so also if any of you all have suggestions on what to do then that would be great thanks! I plan to get the flowmaster american thunder exhaust, the cai for now. i dont mean to keep rambling but also is it a good idea to buy a better mass air flow sensor and throttle body? doesnt that help me with getting more air into the engine to create more hp?? well ill stop here thanks everyone!

K&N, Moroso, SLP, Lingenfelter, AS&M are the ones that come to mind

Subframe connectors and a shock tower brace should one of your first mods IMO.

its not hard to install at all. i have a moroso. it connects kinda where your stock one goes, which is actually your driver side. it runs off the factory rubber elbow and curves straight down. basically, the filter will sit in front of your driver side front tire (of course protected by the wheel well). if you get the kit, it will have all the directions with it. its really very simple.

Only problem with Moroso is that it's prone to cracking...unlike the K&N...

If you are thinking of going with a larger MAF like the z06 i would say to get the SLP because of th diamter of the collector matches the diameter of the maf better the moroso collector was very small i sold mine because of the small size of it

No it is not a good idea...the mass air flow sensor is just fine for a nearly stock car...and the larger TB can and probably will hurt your performance.

I bought the ligenfelter one. With just this mod my car went from 14.1@98 to 13.8@101 so I would say it worked pretty damn good.
