Could have a history code but you won't find it at AZ

Don't need the MAF. Without it, the PCM goes into speed density mode and should start any way.

Opti won't take out the coil permanently.

So do we assume you checked spark at least at 4 plugs at the 4 corners of the engine?

If you indeed have spark at ALL the plugs and they are ALL wet. The next thing I would do is a compression check or at least pull a valve cover.

Have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it to make sure you actually have fuel pressure and you're not just spewing fuel into the intake through the regulator? I've had one go bad that acted real similar.

Only other thing that comes close in my experience would be a bad opti. I have had one go out and throw zero codes. Even took the car to a professional shop who had to call in a GM tech to figure out that the opti was bad. They even paid for the tech because they couldn't figure it out.

The screws for the rotor came loose on my opti and I still had spark, it had us stumped for days, it also backfired through the intake.

You should do a compression test.

plenty of compression, pulled all the plugs dried them, aired the cylinders, the plugs were black 500 miles on them. I guess its opti time.
