This is the coil right?

Im about 99% sure it is but I just want to see what you guys think? First off I do have orginal coil. It first started as a high RPM miss almost dead on between 5500-6500 but only in 4th gear. Now it worked its way into every gear but only in that RPM range. The plugs are brand new and all the wires are ok. The opti was replaced with the new motor 3000 miles ago.

So does this sound like coil? Also a weak coil can effect power in all RPM ranges also correct? even though it doesnt miss?

It is possible. When my coils have gone bad typically it is 5000 rpm and above and it feels like I am hitting the rev limiter.

How the hell do you test the coil wire? I took mine off, I put an end of the meter to each end of the wire and the meter went up all the way?

You need to be a little more detailed than that. What was the ohms reading?

Shoebox, No I havent checked the coil wire...and I only have a slight idea on how to check it. Do you have a section on your website on how?

tnthub, yes its almost like hitting the rev limiter.

As alluded to in the conversation with Hyperspeed97z28, you need to use a multimeter and look at the resistance from end to end.

New Development, I went out to see if any of the spark was arching with water from a spray bottle and after a second or two I heard a pretty good rattling coming from the drivers side valve cover, infact there was some rattling from both sides. Maybe a valve adjustment will help...
