Coil Question
Hey guys...
I just changed my coil from stock to the Crane Cam ignition coil. This coil boasts it provides 70% more power than the stock coil. I replaced it because my cat has 128k on it and the coil probably needed replacement (certainly feels a little stronger).
My question is, does it really matter what coil you use? I saw on thunderracing that the Crane Coil and Hypertech Coil were the same price, whereas hypertech was only 30% more than stock. I've always read that the LT1 has a pretty aggressive ignition system so you don't get a lot of an upgrade when you go to something like MSD 6A, so is it true in this case too? Thanks.
