My sisters 96 Camaro (A4) has 3 codes in it and I cant find the meaning for 2 of them. The two that I dont know the meanings are code 1870 and 1406. Anyone? BTW I searched the net trying to find a place that has obd2 codes listed but couldnt find anything. Thanks.

 

I have a Haynes and a Chilton manual in front of me and neither list those codes- and the Chilton even has engine specific codes.

Very strange.

 

i need the letter in front of the number, there should be a letter in front (p,b,u,c). all obd2 codes start with these.

btw what was the other code?

Emission related, will turn on the MIL after first failure
