Solenoid A Fault. This is the code Freescan retrieved for me. I think this is the reason i only have 2-3 gears. I believe the replacement part # is 12538778, someone correct me if im wrong. Has anyone replaced this before? Would it just necessitate removing the console around the shifter?

Check the #11 fuse under the hood (10amp). If that's ok, cycle the solenoid with the scanner and listen for it to click. If none of that does anything, pull the tranny connector and check +12V on the pink wire and when the solenoid is engaged, check for ground on the light green wire.

 

The solenoid is inside the transmission, not in the console. Remove the transmission pan for access.
